IF GATHERING is a Texas non-profit corporation that exists globally to equip users of the Site with resources, events and community so they may learn more about God (“Services”).

We respect your information and our goal is to collect as little user information as possible while still providing a quality service to you. We receive and store information about you in a range of ways and the information you provide to us varies depending on your purpose in interacting with our Services.

Some of this location-related personal data will be visible to other users of the Site in a generalized format, such as “Amy from Boston is hosting a Gather group”. If you do not agree to this sharing, please do not host a Gather group.

Information We Get From Others. We may get information about you from other sources to further customize your experience, like updating the website based upon your location information. We may add this to information we get from this Site.

Some of your interactions on the Site may be public. These interactions are immediately viewable by other users of this Site. If you add content to the Site, this content may also be viewable by other users of this Site.

If you are a host of our events or groups, we will share location-related personal information to allow other users to attend your hosted event or group.

Google Analytics processes this data to help us understand user behavior and improve our Services.

We also share other information you provide us with others for to provide Services to you you have requested. When you use our Services and sign up for an event, we may share your name and other identifying information with hosts. As we mentioned above, if you’re hosting, we will provide identifying information about you with attendees for your event, like your name and address. Past attendees of your hosted event may retain that information after the event.

THIRD PARTY PAYMENT SERVICES

We rely on third parties to process credit card transactions and do not collect or store your credit card details. That information is provided directly to our third party payment processors and that collection is governed by their Privacy Policy.

STORAGE OF INFORMATION

Your information collected through the Site is processed in the country in which IF GATHERING service providers maintain facilities. If you are based in the United States and use our Site, you consent to have your data processed by IF GATHERING in the United States. International clients have differing needs based on their country of origin and we provide custom storage and processing solutions to meet those requirements.

IF GATHERING maintains strict administrative, technical and physical procedures to protect information processed via our servers. Access to information is limited (through user/password credentials and two factor authentication) to those employees who require it to perform their job functions. We use industry-standard technology, including but are not limited to data encryption, firewalls, VPN, physical access controls to safeguard the information we collect from you.

We maintain your information while you have an account with our Site. When we no longer require your information to maintain your account, we will delete it. If you choose to make an account deletion request, we will permanently and irreversibly delete all of your personal data information from our systems. INFORMATION FOR CERTAIN VISITORS

CHILDREN

The IF GATHERING Site exists to equip adults with resources, events and community so they may learn more about God. Our Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information directly from children. VISITORS FROM OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES

We mention above that the Site is hosted in the United States and our headquarters is in the United States. If you are visiting the Site from outside the United States, information we collect about you will be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States in accordance with this Policy and applicable U.S. laws.

But if you’re a host, we will collect your address to provide attendees that information and your geolocation data can be inferred from that information.
  • Language information, including your primary language such as English, Spanish, or ASL.
  • Professional or employment information you provide our Site.

Sensitive Information

Our online form that you use to register for an event on our Site has fields to allow you to provide us with your gender, race or ethnicity, and religious affiliation. These fields are optional and we will not deny you service if you choose not to answer these questions. We do not collect any other sensitive personal information as defined by state privacy regulations and laws.

Sources of Collection

We obtain the categories of personal information listed above from the following categories of sources:

  • Directly from you. For example, through information we ask from you when you register with our Site.
  • Directly and indirectly from you when using our Services or visiting our website. For example, usage details collected automatically in the course of your interaction with our Site.

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION & USE OF SENSITIVE INFORMATION

STORAGE OF INFORMATION

Your personal information and sensitive information collected through the Site is maintained as long as you maintain an account with the Site. We maintain your information for a period of time if we do not hear from you that you want us to delete your personal information. This period of time includes the period right after you provide the information to us, the period before the event you have registered for, and a period of time post-event when we may provide you information about future events or ask you for feedback about the event. We do not maintain your personal information after a period of time as it may no longer relevant. We do not store information beyond six years after the last event you have registered for through our Site.

We will delete all of your personal data if you request us to do so by emailing us at [email protected]. During this process, we will need to maintain some of your information for legal purposes, but once we no longer require your information to maintain your account, we will delete it within three months after your request to delete your account.

IF GATHERING maintains strict administrative, technical and physical procedures to protect information collected by the Site from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification or disclosure. Access to information is limited (through user/password credentials and two factor authentication) to those employees who require it to perform their job functions. We use industry-standard technology, including but not limited to data encryption and physical access controls to safeguard the personal information we collect from you.

SHARING PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not sell or trade your personal information with others, but we do connect attendees of group events with hosts and provide some personal information to the host, namely your name and phone number. We provide our hosts personal information with your consent as part of our Services to provide you access to events you have registered for through our Site. We have written agreements with all of our hosts for events that have access to your personal information that require everyone with access to your personal information to maintain it securely and confidentially.

We may disclose your personal information to a third party for a business purpose. When we disclose personal information for a business purpose, we enter a contract that describes the purpose and requires the recipient to both keep that personal information confidential and not use it for any purpose except performing the contract.

In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have disclosed the following categories of collected personal information for a business purpose:

  • Identifiers, such as your name, email address, or other similar identifiers.
  • California Customer Records personal information categories, specifically your phone number as part of your profile for the Site.

We disclose these categories of personal information for a business purpose to the following categories of third parties:

  • Hosts of events you register for through the Site.

In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have not sold any personal information. However, as described in this Privacy Policy, we do provide your information at your request to our hosts to provide you access to events you have registered for on the Site.

YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

Your privacy choices are important to us and we would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request IF GATHERING disclose what personal information it collects, uses, discloses or sells. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will disclose to you:

  • The categories of personal information we collected about you during the past 12 months.
  • Our business or commercial purpose for collecting that personal information.
  • The categories of third parties with whom we share that personal information.
  • The specific pieces of personal information we collected about you (also called a data portability request).

IF GATHERING does not sell your personal information for monetary compensation. However, as described in this Privacy Policy, we do provide your information at your request to our hosts for events you have registered for through our Site. Under some circumstances a transfer of personal information to a third party without monetary consideration may be considered a “sale” under state privacy law.

The right to opt out – You have the right to opt out of the sale of your data we have collected, the right to opt out of the collection and use of your data for targeted advertising, and the right to opt out of the processing of your personal data for the purposes of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning a customer. We do not sell your data or engage in targeted advertising but you may request to opt out of the sharing of your data in this manner by sending us a request.

The right to correction – You have the right to request that IF GATHERING correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request IF GATHERING to complete the information you believe is incomplete. The right to data portability – You have the right to request that IF GATHERING transfer the personal information data that we have collected to directly to you so you can transmit the data to another entity. This right is limited to no more than two (2) requests per calendar year.

The right to erasure – Certain state residents also have the right to request the deletion of their personal information collected or maintained by IF GATHERING. Once we receive a request for deletion and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will delete the personal information (to the extent required by law) we hold about you as of the date of your request from our records. In some cases, deletion may be accomplished through de-identification of the information. If you choose to delete your personal information, you may not be able to use certain website functions that require your personal information to operate.

Verifying Requests Access, Data Portability, and Deletion Rights

Only you or a person authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. This may require this person to be registered with your Secretary of State. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child. To help protect your privacy and maintain security, we will take steps to verify your identity before granting you access to your personal information or complying with your request.

You may only make a verifiable consumer request for access or data portability twice within a 12-month period. If you make more requests in a year, we may require a fee to process your additional requests.

The verifiable consumer request must:

In addition, if you ask us to provide you with specific pieces of personal information, we will require you to sign a declaration under penalty of perjury that you are the consumer whose personal information is the subject of the request. Making a verifiable consumer request does not require you to create an account with us.
